NOAA Weather Station
The Forest Resources Center and Arboretum hosts a weather measurements and recording station for the Oak Ridge Office of the NOAA - Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division.

CRESO Project
The Arboretum provides outdoor study opportunities for the Clinch River Environmental Studies Organization (CRESO). This project is an educational/research association between the Department of Energy, Anderson County Schools, and Oak Ridge Schools.

Boy's and Girl's Scout Projects
Many enhancements have been made to the grounds and trails of the UT Arboretum by volunteer members of local Boy's and Girl's Scout troops.

Wildlife Observation

Holly Collection
Inspired by the late Harold Elmore, The Elmore Holly Collection at the University of Tennessee Arboretum is a research and display garden of over two hundred cultivars of the genus Ilex.
